The 2nd Futures Thinking Central Visayas Summit was spearheaded by the Negros
Oriental State University (NORSU), Dumaguete City. It was conducted at the Tip Top Tower Suites Inn, Dumaguete City with participants from NORSU, Bohol Island State University, Cebu Technological University and Siquijor State College. The invited speaker was Mr. Noel De Guia of the PhilFutures and the Resident Futurist of the Senate Committee on innovation and SDGs. In this summit, the regional agenda of the consortium was finalized.
Inspired by the natural geographic challenges of Region VII composed of several small
island compositions, the consortium seeks to prioritize the futures of the small island systems. Hence, the priority agenda of KaLambuaN was named Central ViSISSTA 2050 (Central Visayas Small Island Sustainable Systems to Ambition 2050 (PiSISSA 2050). The following were the priority areas of concern: Renewable Energy, Food Systems, Health Care, Water Security, Climate Change Resiliency, Governance and Mobility.
