April 25-29, 2023 – Regional Futures Consortium Workshop: High-Level Anticipatory Leadership and Governance Executive Course with PhilFutures

A seminar-workshop entitled “Regional Futures Consortium Workshop: High-Level
Anticipatory Leadership and Governance Executive Course” was spearheaded by the Bohol Island State University. The face-to-face event was conducted last April 25-29, 2023 at the JJ’s Seafood Village, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. This activity was an initiative of the Senate Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, Innovation, and Futures Thinking and the KaLambuan Siyete. It was an Executive Course consisting of five modules:
● Anticipatory Leadership and Governance: History and Key Concepts
● Theories of Social Change and Anticipatory Leadership and Governance Frameworks
● Anticipatory Leadership and Governance Tools and Methods Case Studies on
Anticipatory Leadership and Governance
● Scanning through the use of Regional Futures Framework
At the end of the workshops, participants were expected to be able to:
● Define basic Futures Thinking concepts (put anticipatory governance & leadership within the umbrella of FT);
● Apply basic Futures Thinking tools;
● Identify components of an emerging Regional Futures Agenda;
● Submit a report on the Regional Futures Consortium Workshop and indicative regional research agenda.
