The five state universities across the Central Visayas Region were united as they attended
the 1st Futures Thinking Central Visayas Summit held on April 20, 2022 at the Function Hall, Centennial Building of Cebu Technological University – Main Campus. The theme of the event was “Futures Thinking for a future-proof, sustainable and resilient Central Visayas”. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Institutional Heads and representatives, officially creating the Kaugmaon sa Lambuang (KaLambuan-7) Siyete consortium and organization. Two special guests, Mr. Noel De Guia, Resident Futurist of the Philippine Senate Committee on SDGs, Innovation and Futures Thinking, and Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, President of the Philippine Futures Thinking Society (The PhilFutures President), were also invited online to give a special message.
